Description of the event:
The Tax and Law Department at HEC Paris is organizing an online workshop on the European Small Claims Procedure Regulation (ESCP), reuniting European and particularly French legal practitioners, consumers, citizens and entrepreneurs on Tuesday, 31 March 2020, from 16:00 to 18:30. This workshop is organized in the context of the project SCAN – ‘Small Claims Analysis Net’, co-financed by the EU, aimed at studying the flaws and implementation issues regarding the ESCP. The overall theme of the workshop is the fragmentation being caused by national laws filling the gaps that the ESCP left unregulated. It will involve discussions between its participants on what best practices have been developed in France and in different jurisdictions regarding topics that the ESCP Regulation have left to be regulated by national laws.
